SUMMARY / REVIEW:

If there ever was a holiday invented for New Orleans, it would have to be Halloween. Shrouded in mist and mystery, the Big Easy is the place where strange fantasies turn into stranger reality. And there’s no better way to celebrate All Hallow’s Eve than the multi-night mega-dance event that benefits Project Lazarus, now celebrating 25 years of providing local services for people with AIDS. This is the biggest fund-raiser of the year for Project Lazarus — a fitting name for a night that raises up the spirits of the dead, as is the party’s theme “Wickedly Ever After.” Your own spirit will be dancing its ass off at parties that feature powerhouse DJs like New York’s Corey Craig, Manny Lehman and Eddie Baez. Even if you’ve don’t believe you have any energy left over after Saturday night’s main event and costume parade, force yourself out of bed for an only-in-N’Awlins experience:  a floating brunch aboard a genuine riverboat. If you think you won’t be tired, you haven’t been to New Orleans, an all-day-all-night party town where no one frowns on the outrageous. Just be sure to undress for success!
